Cover Letter
I've been working in manufacturing, maintenance and/or management performing technical duties in the automation/electrical/electronic/instrumentation/software and IT departments.
I started as industrial electrician and went on to several different roles in my career. This, gave me a wide range skill to overview different fields and different aspects of the business, this helps me to understand how they are interconnected as well as how one can help the other to find the best technical solutions for the industry. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to : instrumentation calibration, repair/replacement of electrical/electronic components, Robotics and PLC programming, software design/programming and documentation, technical training, technical manuals writing, search for parts and components, contact suppliers, price, implementation of new instrumentation, Project Management, commissioning and logging data, translation (Brazilian Portuguese to English and vice-versa), servers setup and SCADA package use for HMI screens.
I’ve develop solutions for software using a variety of tools and platforms. My background in programming languages such as C/C++/C#, assembly and PLC programming have prepared me to deal with the many different problems and helped me to work with fast approaches to find better, more reliable and faster solutions. I am experienced with temperature controllers, displacement measuring systems, vibration analysis and pressure measurement, I can provide the technical support needed to face most of the problems involved with electronic instrumentation.
An important part of my job is contacting the client and negotiating the best solutions for change requests and/or evaluate the application of client requirements to the project. Lately, my responsibilities include preparing ECRs and ECOs (Engineering Change Request and Engineering Change Orders, respectively) , regular meetings with the client (external/internal), planning and documentation of agreements and technical orientation of what needs to be done to the Engineering department and feedback to the technical body of the client, reporting and justifying why certain decisions needed to be made to continue on the progress of the project development.
