BiographyName: Edenilson Lopes de Meira
I am a Canadian Citizen, Brazilian born, who lives in Canada since 1998. In the late 90's, Brazil was living a strong recession and the scarcity of work and the high inflation the economy was facing, forced a lot of young professionals to trying a venture abroad in search of a better life and Canada was my choice. Graduated as Precision Mechanics Technician by SENAI Suico-Brasileiro in the early 90's, I have most of my career hands-on training, ranging from PLC programming, electrical and mechanical design, industrial instrumentation, software development, industrial automation including robotics programming, quality assurance control and auditing, department management and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems analysis, design and programming. Always interested in arts, music and writing; drawing came as a natural consequence of time. Since as a child, my interest in representing the world around the best way I could by sketching lines in a paper and/or drawing friends in caricatures, were signs that art was one of my strongest passions. I am a self taught artist, one day, early in 2014 I decided to sit down and start drawing. Once I shared the results with friends over the social network, I was surprised that most of my friends and family liked what I was doing. So, I kept on doing and improving my techniques with whatever instruction I could find in books and/or online. I've always been mine worst critic in everything I do and I like to extend to the most stretch I can when it comes to performance. I am very demanding with myself in everything I do. At first this may sounds harsh, but reality is that whatever I tend to do, I do it with passion and devotion. The main reason I love art is because by doing the best I can to produce something beautiful, in the end, no matter if I am happy or not with the final result, it seems that I always can put a smile on someone else's face and this is the most benefit I could find when producing art. The joy, the appreciation and the happiness a piece of art can produce in someone's life is one of the most beautiful things that a human being is able to do. Among other things, I love sports (in particular golf), traveling and writing. I sports I've found a way to practice devotion concentration and effort to achieve some result, in writing I've found the logic and sensitivity needed to create a piece of art and in traveling I've found the gateway to expand ideas and understand the world around me in many different ways. More than anything, I love life and every possibility to learn new things, either through traveling, reading or just conversing with friends and discussing other point of views, through the years I've discovered that the overlooked fact of life is that the simple things are the most important ones, and family and friends are not only extremely necessary in anyone's life but also a gift that we all should learn to appreciate, respect and love with all our hearts and souls. Only then, we will be ready to write in History something that really matters, something that can contribute and maybe enhance not only your own legacy but also, someone else's life. |
